The meme that's been going around has garned my attention.

Five Quirks:

1. I am obsessed with how things smell, good or bad. I've been told I have a keen sense of smell, identifying fragrances and various other odors.

2. If I find an item I like (clothing, shoes, household products, etc.) I buy several of the same item. I've been known to have one shirt in many different colors.

3. I'm never without a pair of sunglasses. Ever.

4. I read magazines backwards--I start at the last page and work my way forward.

5. No matter how bad a movie is, I always finish it, even if I have to watch it on 2x. Same goes for books--gotta finish what I started!

propaganda

This -----^ is pretty high on my wishlist right now. It's sold out, but I contacted the company and they're expecting them to be in shortly. It will be mine!

I have several movies currently/about to be in theaters on my 'to see' list, but for some reason, this catapulted to the top. I'm not a thumbsucker, but I have a good friend that is, and she's about to be 26.

Giants are losing. To the Nationals! It was close there at the end, yikes!

Rainy Tuesday, although it started out pretty sunny. When the thunder and lightning started, I wanted to go home and curl up in bed. But now I'm home and all comfy in yoga pants and pretty much don't want to be anywhere else. Thankfully, the only place I have to be is at home--I have someone coming by to look at the car I'm selling. Here's hoping this guy is a taker, as much as I've loved driving my sister's Integra around, it's taking up prime parking space.

Because I have now become obsessed, here are the shows that I have a Season Pass for on TiVo. In order of priority:
Arrested Development
Property Ladder
Martha
Chapelle's Show
Desperate Housewives
Mind of Mencia
The Showbiz Show with David Spade
Family Guy
My Name is Earl
Breaking Bonaduce
The last three were recommended by some friends last night, and after seeing what a trainwreck Danny Bonaduce is, I'll tune in for a couple of episodes.

I talked so much about all the shindigs I was going to have during the summer, and the time escaped me. To rectify this situation, I'm having people over Sunday for a BBQ.

watching: Niner game

How did the Eagles score so quickly?! UN-freaking-believable. That McNabb is something else. Dad and sister have a bet going on this game, sister rooting for the Eagles (boo! hiss!) and dad rooting for the Niners, of course (yay!).

The amount of broadcasted Bay Area sports I've willingly subjected myself to this week is crazy. Thursday night I went to the Giants game and watched as Barry struck out and the Giants got spanked by the stinky Dodgers. Friday night on the way to the city I listened to the Giants edge out the Dodgers, yesterday afternoon I watched the Giants scrape out another one, I'm watching Jimmy Johnson pontificate on the half-time report while waiting for the Niner game to return. I'm sure I'll tune into the final Giants-Dodgers game in the series later this afternoon.

There's something about the theme music for Sunday football games that reminds me of growing up. Watching the game(s) in the den with my dad or listening from downstairs as he pounded the floor after the Niners did something stupid. Now I hear my mom saying it's sister that pounds the floor when the Eagles are losing. How she became an Eagles fan is beyond me, something to do with her crush on McNabb.

Me? I'm a 49er Faithful.

I've done nothing this weekend. Really. Nothing productive, I should say, other than loading the dishwasher. It's been ages since I rode the couch this much, and while I've enjoyed it, I'm itching to actually do something. There's plenty around here to do: clean living room, fold laundry, kitchen duties, etc., but that would actually require some energy. And since my week has been so packed and hectic, I'm enjoying my lazy day.

watching: dmb storytellers (on tivo!)

it's been a looooong week.

tuesday: folks over for marathon tv session
wednesday: a late night guest (yeehaw!)
thursday: giants game
friday: par-tay in the city

and somewhere in between all that i managed to go to work.

i got only a leeetle beeet of sleep. but really just a little, i'm guessing i'm going to spontaneously fall asleep pretty darn soon. or, after the party tonight at any rate.

i do have to say, though, that i've had an amazing week, social-wise. work-wise, it was just kinda 'meh.'

damn. this storytellers is pretty good. i still like the one with timmy, but this is up there, new songs and all.

blister in the sun

so this guy walks into a bar...

i gots me some tivo. yikes! i'll never leave the house! but really, i expect to be watching more tv than before (as opposed to the merely watching the best show on television, 'arrested development') and that'll be baaaaad. i did, however, get to see the new martha show, and i'm digging it. i loves me some martha.

indeed.

but poor netflix shall not suffer. i'm currently watching carlos mencia's 'not for the easily offended.' i'm pretty sure this was taped when we went to the show!

watching: curb your enthusiasm season four disc two

yay! it's almost the weekend! and a three day one at that! such perfect timing, i could really use it. but to be honest, it's been a pretty sweet week.

the weather today was gorgeous, my only wish was that i could have spent some time outside and enjoyed it. i'm hearing rumors that the weekend will be nice, too, and it's just perfect, as i'll be spending a great portion of it outside.

as per my usual routine, i checked mls listings for listings in my complex. imagine my surprise when i saw a 'hot new lisitng' in my complex for $515,000. yowza! i know this can't last, but i'll ride it while it does. i'm also keeping tabs on the house two down from my folks. apparently it was unexpecetedly open last sunday but i missed it. the fam stopped by and proclaimed it as simply, 'meh.'

larry david and a fat black hooker. i'm in hysterics.

synonym for shocking

I can't help but think how lucky I am to have recently visited New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

I wonder how many of these sites are still intact...

Thoughts and prayers with everyone in the affected area...
