monkey business

Sometimes I just want to scream, "It's harmless entertainment!"

"Curious George" controversy.

  1. The thing is, there is no such thing as harmless entertainment when you're looking at children's movies/books/etc. Or mostly not. Children, especially young children, will take in everything they're exposed to and it will help form who they become and the beliefs they will have. It may not make the different between a convict and an exemplary citizen, sure, but it should at least be acknowledged that it does affect them.

  2. I agree with you Bee... it is just entertainment. I loved CG as a kid. Like I would believe a ape could light up a cig. It's a cartoon, make believe, not real. It's up to the parent to rely that msg to their kids.
