strict protocol

I had a good week last week. Not only did I work just three days, but I also got a bonus. A big one, greater than my monthly salary. And since I wasn't expecting it, it was all the better.

Of course, since I wasn't expecting it, when I opened the envelope the check was in, I said aloud, "What the hell is this?!" Yes, that'd be me, staring, not just looking, the proverbial gift horse in the mouth.

Because I'm a responsible adult (har) I'm going to invest about 70 percent of it. And the rest? I dunno yet. But I guarantee it'll be good.
